Talks continue in Northern California with Rite Aid to further discussions regarding reaching an agreement for a new contract.

UFCW 8-Golden State has appealed Rite Aid’s unilateral implementation to the National Labor Relations Board and to date we have won all challenges. At each step the company has filed an appeal, delaying reaching an agreement which rewards our members for their dedicated service to the company and their community.

The wheels of justice move slowly as we fight through court hearings with each proceeding. We remain committed to reaching an agreement rewarding our members’ hard work.

We will keep our members informed as discussions continue. The company clearly intends to draw the process out. As difficult as this has been, we encourage our members to remain united, stand strong with your Union and we will prove Solidarity Works!
