Rite Aid is on track to make billions this year. How are they celebrating? Rite Aid is currently trying to eliminate the health care benefits for part-time and retired workers in Northern California — many of whom worked for the company for decades.

Seniors depend on their benefits to financially survive. It is wrong for the company to take away security from the most vulnerable. This is just one part of Rite Aid’s campaign to make itself richer at their employees’ expense.

Rite Aid has also not increased its contributions to the medical plan in over 12 years. It's time for Rite Aid to take care of its workers.

Under the Rite Aid company plan, the company has:

• Eliminated benefits for new employees working less than 30 hours per week (which accounts for most new employees).
• Eliminated existing sick leave benefits.
• Eliminated benefits promised to retirees under the jointly administered benefit plan.
